In the remote mountains of Kvænangen in Arctic Norway, big mountain snowboarder Krister Kopala prepares for the first descent of a treacherous, unnamed northern face. Driven by childhood trauma, the mountains have become a refuge for him. Is he searching for a way to be more present? Is he searching, subconsciously, to be closer to death? Or is he searching for life?
